Cloner, is a 2.5D platformer where the player uses the ability to create clones in order to solve puzzles. As soon as the player spawns, every action they perform is “recorded.” When the player steps into a teleporter they will appear at their original spawn point with a clone of themselves spawning next to them, (signified by a red glow around the clone). The clone will then repeat every action the player took prior to stepping into the teleporter. The player will have to estimate the correct timing of their previous actions in order to traverse the puzzle. This prototype was developed within three weeks as we explored the question: “What if a player’s actions from the past could be used to their advantage?”
